File Description

This file is a firmware update file for the following JVC's Everio models.
Download and save the file to the desktop of the PC.
Set Everio to "UPDATE" mode, and follow the instructions on the screen to update the firmware.

This file is exclusively for the above models. Please do not use the file with the models other than those described above to avoid malfunction.

System Requirements

To use this file, a PC with preinstalled one of the followings is required: Microsoft^® Windows Vista^® (Home Basic/Home Premium), Microsoft^® Windows^® XP (Home/Professional), or Microsoft^® Windows 7 (Home Premium/Professional).
A PC with USB2.0 as a standard equipment is required.

Caution

Power failure during update may cause Everio malfunction. As we may charge the user for the repair in such cases, please read the following cautions and the software license agreement carefully and follow the update instructions.
We recommend you to back up the data stored in the internal memory before updating.
Before updating, remove the SD memory card.
To secure power supply during update, connect both the AC adapter and the battery to Everio. Before updating, be sure to charge the battery capable of shooting for 30 minutes or longer.
Do not remove the AC adapter or the battery, or turn off the power switch during update as power failure causes Everio malfunction.
Do not touch or shake Everio during update as power failure causes Everio malfunction.
Firmware update files differ according to the models. Be sure to use the correct file for the model.

Software License Agreement

PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE CLICKING "ACCEPT" AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE.

Subject to the conditions below,JVCKENWOOD Corporation, Limited ("JKC") grants to End-User ("You") a right to use the Firmware Update Software ("Software") for HD Memory Camera; GC-PX100**.
By clicking "ACCEPT" at the bottom of this page, You are deemed to agree to be bound by the conditions of this Software License Agreement ("Agreement").

1. Copyright Protection, Intellectual Property Ownership

All copyrights and other intellectual property rights in the Software are owned by JKC and its licensor(s), and remain vested in JKC and such licensor(s). The Software is protected under the copyright law of Japan and other countries, and related conventions.

2. Grant of License

Subject to the conditions of the Agreement, JKC grants You a non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Software on Everio. You may download the Software to your PC ("Specific PC"), and install the Software to Everio connected to the Specific PC.
You may make a copy of the Software for your back-up and storage purpose only.

3. Restriction

i)You may not modify, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software in any manner.
ii)You have no right to grant a license to use the Software, and may not distribute, lease or rent the Software to any other person for any purpose.
iii)You shall comply with the laws and regulations of the applicable countries of the Software.

4. Transfer

You may make copies of the Software for personal and individual use, without limitation of volume, and distribute such copies, provided that:

i) Each such copy contains copyright and/or other proprietary rights notice in the same manner as appeared on this Agreement and the Software.
ii) In case You distribute each such copy by on-line or other media, You must display notices as required to appropriately protect copyright and other proprietary rights of JKC on these media.

5. Limited Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. JKC MAKE NO GUARANTEE OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE SOFTWARE'S MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SHOULD THERE BE ANY PROBLEM ARISING FROM OR CAUSED BY THE SOFTWARE, YOU SHOULD SETTLE ALL SUCH PROBLEMS AT YOUR OWN COSTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

6. Limitation of Liability

JKC WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WITH RESPECT TO ITS OBLIGATIONS UNDER THIS AGREEMENT OR OTHERWISE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES EVEN IF IT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. YOU WILL INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS JKC FROM ANY LOSS, LIABILITY OR COSTS ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED TO CLAIMS FROM ANY OTHER PERSONS RELATING TO THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE.
YOU WILL EQUALLY INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE AUTHOR OF THE THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE FROM SUCH DAMAGES. JKC SHALL REGARD THAT YOU CONSENT TO MAKE NO CLAIM OF ANY KIND TO THE AUTHOR OF THE THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE.
The warranty of JKC shall not exceed the applicable warranty coverage of Everio.

7. Term

This Agreement will become effective on the date when You download and install the Software onto the specific PC, and continue to be in effect until the termination as the article 8 below.

8. End of term

Should You breach any provision of this Agreement, JKC may terminate this Agreement without giving any notice to You. In this event, JKC may claim against You any damages caused by Your breach.
Should this Agreement be terminated, You must discontinue the use of the Software, and shall not be allowed to possess the Software installed in Everio.

9. Export Control

You agree to comply with all applicable international and national laws and regulations regarding export control that apply to the Software.

10. U.S. Government User

If you are an agency of the United States of America (the "Government"), you acknowledge JKC's representation that the Software is a "Commercial Item" as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 2.101 (g) consisting unpublished "Commercial Computer Software" as those items are used at FAR part 12.212 and is only licensed to you with the same use rights JKC grants all commercial end users pursuant to the terms of this Agreement.

11. Others

Unless otherwise signed by the lawful representative of JKC, any, amendment, modification, addition or deletion shall be void.
JKC may add and/or modify articles on this Agreement without notice. In such a case, you should agree that the new articles will be applied for usage of the Software.
Should any of the conditions of the Agreement be void under Japanese law, the rest of the conditions remain valid.
The Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has jurisdiction over all disputes which may arise with respect to the execution, interpretation and performance of this Agreement.
